Apache galloped over to Tarka and played with the lariat loosening it bit by bit ( her father had taught her how to deal with lariats and other human traps when she was a foal ) finally she slipped it up and over Tarkas head . Apache then walked away without a nudge or nuzzle nor a nicker and went back to the woods . Apache felt as if she didnt deserve to be in this herd .

Yarraman trotted over, his neck curved and his trot was high and long. He relaxed and halted, happy with a new mare.
Enchantia groomed Tarka and whinnied softly.
Tory nursed quietly.
Bifrost whinnied a hello to Apache, than turned and walked over to the river. She settled to the ground as a sac emerged from her rear and pushed until a blood bay appaloosa colt was born. She sat up, sniffed and licked him. Bifrost stood up and licked him again. She decided to name him Firebird.

Tarka sniffed the luscious grass disinterestedly his eyes flicked listlessly from Tory to Enchantia they were not safe the men would come he and his kin would no longer be together they would be chained and sold his harem would be separated and used by men if he did not find safety he whinnied to Cascada to get her brood and prepare to journey with him to the bogong feared by horse and man alike but it was safe, but unlike most horses it was Tarkas home, his birthright and now in a time of trouble, he claimed it. Mirri sniffed Firebird lightly and licked him.
